The Sunriver Service District was established on July 1, 2002 and is unique in that it oversees both the fire and police departments. The District and the Sunriver Owners Association work together to manage this self-governing community under the by-laws of the state and Deschutes County.

The District consists of five board members.  The board members manage the funding for the district, and with the Chiefs manage the personnel for both departments. 
 


 The board members and chiefs meet monthly (schedule) to discuss pending business to maintain excellent emergency services for a high quality of life in Sunriver. 

Individuals interested in attending the all District's meetings should look at both agenda postings.  The special meeting agenda will show meetings other than the posted regular monthly meetings.
